Matthew Hughes Wins National Property Investment Adviser of the Year at 2025 PIPA Awards
We are proud to share that Matthew Hughes, Managing Director at Capital Property Advisory, has been awarded Property Investment Adviser of the Year at the 2025 PIPA Awards for Excellence, held last week in Brisbane.
Hosted by the Property Investment Professionals of Australia (PIPA), the national peak body for ethical and qualified property investment advisers, the Awards for Excellence celebrate Australia’s top performers in the industry. Matthew’s win recognises his exceptional leadership, industry expertise, and long-standing commitment to ethical, client-focused investment advice.
“I’m incredibly honoured to receive this award, especially amongst such high-calibre finalists and respected peers in our industry,” said Matthew. “I’m deeply grateful to the PIPA Board and judging panel for this recognition, and to my incredible team and family for their unwavering support over the years.”
Matthew’s achievement comes on the heels of his recent appointment to the PIPA Board of Directors, a testament to his leadership and contributions to the property investment sector over the past decade. A proud Qualified Property Investment Adviser (QPIA®) and long-time advocate for higher industry standards, Matthew has consistently championed independent, client-first advice - values that underpin every aspect of CPA’s work.
Having purchased his first property at just 19, Matthew has since built a career around empowering others to achieve long-term wealth through property. Over the last ten years, he has worked exclusively as a buyer’s agent and strategic property adviser, transacting on hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of real estate across Australia.
Today, Matthew leads a team of expert advisers through Capital Property Advisory, as well as Capital Lending Advisory and Matte Black Real Estate – CPA Group’s property management arm. Across all his ventures, Matthew remains deeply committed to elevating industry professionalism and providing a holistic, data-driven approach to property investment.
We extend our congratulations to all the other finalists and winners at this year’s PIPA Awards, and we thank PIPA for continuing to raise the bar for excellence and ethics in our industry.
